Normally I don't use Social Media or blogs as a platform for political issues, however I find it both sad and disgusting that innocent civilians are being beheaded for the sake of political gain. I am also deeply disgusted that you can see a beheaded man lying without his head and without his dignity. I am doing an assignment concerning western diplomacy in the middle east, and this seemed a good topic to discuss as westernised diplomacy at its height of the worlds focus as there have bee...n 3 beheadings in spite of American policy. However it is alarming that they are beheading innocent men who would consequentially help them to make a statement, not only to the US but to the rest of the world. Innocent men who reported national affairs and helped people. The third victim was an aid worker. What did he do, besides help their own people, to deserve being beheaded and humiliated in such a manner. How many more people need to die, but doing so without conforming to fundamental terrorists who get what they want by killing innocent men, and in the most brutal way possible. (they were not beheaded with a machete or something that would make it quick, but a knife that would cause suffering and pain). I found this link which has been the cause for my anger, that showed the body after is had been beaded with the head lying on the mans back blurred out, please they need to work on their blurring skills clearly. Showing the public this footage is exactly what these people want, the more people see it, the more people are aware of them and what they stand for, the more power they get. I find it really sad for the families of these men that they are not given the privacy that so many have when they pass, they are not able to this earth in peace or with good memories attached to them. They will ever be known as the men who were beheaded for a cause that probably wont be remembered 50 years from now. My heart goes out to the men and their families, and I hope a solution can be made before more innocent people have to die.
